We owe this drink to the British Navy who combined their daily rations of gin with lime juice to stave off boredom and scurvy. Vodka or Gin, dash Lime Juice. Olive or Lime.
Sidecar
The origin of this drink was supposedly traced back to a WWI officer after getting a chilly ride in the sidecar of a motorcycle. Makers Mark, Cointreau, Sour.
Rob Roy
It is not clear of its origin, but was noted in the Esquire Drink Book of 1956. Scotch, Sweet Vermouth, Bitters, splash of mist, lemon twist.
