Year Round Features
Friday Cod Fish FryThis time-honored tradition first became popular as German Catholics in Wisconsin observed meatless Fridays. It wasn’t until the Prohibition era when taverns created this social event weekly as a ‘marketing’ opportunity; business was slow, and they needed to come up with a catchy concept to bring patrons into their doors. Featuring a Fish Fry quickly became popular, and gained statewide attention to become the best Friday pick!
We serve the best part of the cod (the loin). We hand bread and fry to order every piece. This method creates a light and crunchy coating that never overwhelms the fish. We grate and season Idaho potatos every friday to make our handmade potato pancakes. And our coleslaw is made using fresh cut cabbage and our special “house” sauce.
Lunch fish fry is $7.95 served until 5 pm.
2 piece fish fry (approx. 1/2 pound) is $13.95 and includes choice of side salad or cup of soup. 4 piece fish fry add $3.99.
Soup of the Day
Our kitchen staff make soup every day from scratch. Selections have included butternut squash and ginger, roasted carrot and ginger, cowboy chili, beef and wild mushroom and curry chicken to just name a few. Soup changes daily, but every friday we make a fresh pot of New England Clam chowder. This friday favorite is packed with flavor and of course, Clams!
Nightly Surf & Turf:
Featuring cuts of ribeye, sirloin, beef medallion, or New York Strip. Paired with filet of salmon, cod, or tilapia or seafood selections such as bay scallops or shrimp.
